Meghan Funkhouser - Operations Manager
A science nerd, turned pet sitter. Meghan was raised in St. Louis, MO and attended Missouri State University, where she met Collin. Caring for pets has always been one of her loves, which is where Funky Bunch started. Ten years later she’s more passionate than ever to bring the absolute best care to you and your pets.
Collin Funkhouser - Managing Director
Collin was born and raised in Rogersville, MO and spent his time collecting bugs and playing in band. While at Missouri State University, pursuing a biology degree, he met Meghan. They soon began pet sitting and caring for dogs. After a brief stint working in conservation, he is thrilled to be living his passion full-time, caring for your pet!
Our Journey
Founded in 2021, Funky Bunch Pet Care started with a simple idea: to offer more than just a service, but a genuine partnership to pet parents.
Meghan and Collin started pet sitting as a way to earn extra money in Graduate School. Since then, it's turned into our full time passion!
Over the years, thanks to our incredible community and our dedicated team, we've grown, learned, and solidified our commitment to improving the lives of pets and their families.

Kendra - Pet Care Specialist

Hello there! My name is Kendra. I am honored to get to work with such an amazing team and look forward to caring for and getting to know your fur babies.
I have a few kids of my own. One has two legs, the others have four and they are all my world. My family enjoys long walks, cuddles, movies and video games. I am also a sucker for a good book and coffee.
We all love spending quality time at home so I know how important it is to have the peace of mind that your loved ones and belongings are cared for and can give my pledge confidently that they will be while under my supervision.
Kris - Pet Care Specialist

Hello! I’m Kris with a K, and I’m delighted to be part of The Funky Bunch! I moved to Springfield from Fort Worth two years ago to be near my grandkids, along with my three cats. Walter had a lovely long life of 16+ years and I miss his green eyes and noisy complaints. Olive (The Other Reindeer) is a ‘tabico’ who sometimes just pretends that she likes you. Starfish (pictured) was a ‘foster fail’ who sticks close to me but vanishes when anyone appears.Animals in my past? A horse, a descented skunk, a cayman, a chameleon and a long list of cats and dogs. I actually took my pet lab rats to college with me and hid them in the closet on cleaning days…Family is super important! I have three more small grandkids in Dallas and get down there as often as I can. In my spare time, I’m serious about family history, knitting and freezer stocking.I’m definitely a cat person, but I’ve met some wonderful dogs lately! I look forward to meeting your special creatures and taking the very best care of them while you’re away!

Hello, my name is Amber! I am a mom, wife, gaming nerd, and coffee lover. I've lived in Missouri on and off my whole life. I graduated in Republic where I met my husband and we now live in Nixa. We have 5 kids, three of them having four legs. Holly is our sassy pitbull, Roxy is a shepard mix and momma of our pack, and old man Joe is a lab. I have two beautiful daughters that keep me on my toes. We love lazy lake days and playing Mario party!I am so very excited for the opportunity to care for your pets. I promise to show them love and shower them with cuddles like I would my own.

Hello! :) My name is Johnna and I am originally from Memphis, TN. My whole life I have always had multiple pets to give and receive love and snuggles. I currently have my sweet kitty and three little ones on two legs that keep me going. I have worked and handled pets since I was a child, whether that was my own, family, or friends. I have always had a passion for them as I feel they do more for us than we do for them. I’m so excited to be able to start this journey with Funky Bunch and join this awesome team! My amazing husband, Jacob, and I have been together since 2009. We've resided in Missouri for most of our lives. We are raising a son and 3 dogs together. All of us enjoy being outdoors, playing sports, and eating good food.
Being part of Funky Bunch is important to me because, ever since I was a child I've been involved with caring for animals. Now that I'm older, I am eager to continue that passion for pet care.

Hi there, I'm Dean and I love all animals. Furry, scaled or feathered. They all need love and care.
I am father of two beautiful rescue kitties named Josie and Rory. Rory was only 2 weeks old when he was found under a wheelbarrow. I also have a 14 year old box tortoise named Henry Jones.
Gardening, fishing and woodworking are among my hobbies. I also love reading and hearing a good dad joke.
I will give your fur children the best care I can and make them feel loved.

Howdy there, my name is Sydney!
I’ve been around animals as long as I can remember and love being around furry(or scaly) companions. I’ve had a life surrounded by many loving creature like cats, lizards, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and of course dogs of all shapes and sizes.
I’ve lived in sedalia a majority of my life, however, being a military kid gives me a cool perk of being able to say I was born in Germany. My dad was a dog handler in the military so I’ve grown up with tips and tricks on how to handle animals.
My family currently only has three dogs. A sweet rescue Great Dane named Gus. A trouble making Aussiedoodle named Icaurus. The newest addition to my family is a ditzy Havanese puppy, named Cheech. I promise to love and care for your pet the same I would with my own pooches!
Kobe (2008-2024)
He was our 15 year-old dachshund we adopted from Dusty Puddles Dachshund Rescue. He was our inspiration and the reason for everything we do at Funky Bunch.
If you are looking for a pet sitter look no further. Funky Bunch is the BEST. They took the time to get to know one of our dogs who can be difficult with strangers in his home but now he is SO excited to see them. Our dogs love them and we do too. Funky Bunch provided us with peace of mind while we were on vacation by sending pictures and updates with every visit. They even took in our mail and watered the plants. What more could you ask for?
